LITTLE ROCK (AP) The Memorial Day weekend marks the start of the summer driving season, though travel is expected to decline slightly from last year and families are reducing the distance they cover.

Cadron Settlement Park is set to fall into city control Monday, as per a no-money lease approved at Tuesday's Conway City Council meeting.

Keys and advice for Cadron Settlement Park were given to Conway Parks and Recreation Department personnel Wednesday morning.

The Conway City Council, in a workshop session Thursday night, hammered out a preliminary plan to tackle the city's storm-water-drainage problems.
