CABOT — The strong momentum Conway was able to build the past couple of weeks was quickly devoured by a hungry bunch of Panthers, as Cabot ended the Wampus Cats’ playoff run with a 38-7 victory Friday night at Panther stadium in the Class 7A quarterfinal round.

While the first-round opponent may not be decided yet, the Conway Wampus Cats can be sure they will have a spot in the Class 7A state playoffs.

On the same night the Conway Wampus Cats officially clinched a spot Class 7A playoffs, there was a need of going back to the drawing board.
